Ce sont plusieurs premières fois qui s’accumulent dans mon parcours artistique. Ma première exposition de groupe, ma première œuvre vendue, ma première commande… À chaque fois que j’avance dans un terrain inconnu, je me rends un peu plus loin, un petit pas à la fois. C’est avec douceur que j’entreprends ce chemin, en résistant aux pressions de performance et de productivité. Et je savoure chaque instant.

Aujourd’hui j’ai deux premières dont j’aimerais vous parler.

Je présente ma première collection complète dans la boulangerie et bistro Dupond & Dupont du 6 mai au 2 juin. Pour ceux qui ne peuvent pas se déplacer, j’ai créé une exposition virtuelle sur mon site web. La plupart des tableaux sont encore disponibles. Merci à ArtTram et Dupond & Dupont pour cette occasion incroyable.

Avec le thème Énergie Divine, j’explore l’ordinaire et le surnaturel. Un de mes sujets principaux c’est le chat. Au Canada, c’est 43 % des foyers qui ont un chat, un animal de compagnie des plus communs. Par contre, quand je regarde mon chat, je ne peux m’empêcher de penser qu’il est un être unique et extraordinaire. Je peux comprendre la vénération des égyptiens pour ces petites bêtes poilues.

Je participe également à un projet de murale du Global Roots Project avec des artistes à travers le Canada. La murale a été dévoilée au Al Ritchie Community Association à Regina en Saskatchewan. Vous pouvez également la voir en suivant ce lien ou dans mon post sur instragram. L’œuvre que j’ai présenté a été vendue, mais j’ai fait une autre peinture inspirée du même chat, Grosso, qui est maintenant disponible. Merci à Lauralee et Connie pour l’invitation à participer!

J’ai hâte de vous retrouver le mois prochain pour vous partager mes nouveaux projets pour cet été : mon premier studio d’art, des artistes dans le parc et de nouvelles collaborations seront au rendez-vous…

I have collected many firsts in my artistic journey these past few years. My first group exhibition, my first sale, my first commission… Each time I do something new, I push my boundaries, one step at a time. My journey has been gentle, as I resist the urges of productivity and overachievement. This is my own path that I am delighted to walk on.

This month, I have two firsts to share with you.

From May 6 to June 2, I will present my first collection at the Bakery and Bistro Dupond & Dupont. Don’t worry if you cannot make it, I have also created a virtual exhibition where you can see the collection and each available painting for sale. Thanks to ArtTram and Dupond & Dupont for this amazing opportunity.

With the theme, Devine Energy, I explore the ordinary and the extraordinary. My main subject is the cat. In Canada, 43% of households have cats, a very common pet. However, I see a unique being when I look at my cat. I understand Egyptians’ veneration for this little feline.

I am also participating in a Global Roots Project with artists from all over Canada. The mural has been unveiled at the Al Ritchie Community Association in Regina, Saskatchewan.
